Initially thought you meant Ross and Harry and wasn't sure where you'd fit both in. When you include Adam, we have too many Byrnes,
Could you image the commentary...Throw in from Byrne, taken a the front by his brother Byrne and quickly on to not his brother Byrne, back inside to his brother Byrne and a cross field kick for no ones brother Byrne tapped down to Bryan Byrne and quick hands to O'Brien and popped up for O'Brien no relation ...back inside to O'Brien still no relation...Tackled, Set up, clear out from McGrath and pick and go from Mcgrath..
... not to mention Kearney x3 or 2 other O'Briens in the Academy and 2 O'Sullivans
Then imagine Fred Cogley doing commentary.
Or worse again Jimmy NcGee.
Byrne, Byrne, back to Byrne, cross to Byrne, try Byyyyrrrrrne.

I'm actually surprised that Leinster aren't going full bore for this game. We have traditionally fielded strong teams at home and slightly weaker away.

Are we not? Ah Ballix. Ireland camp probably.
if training photos are anything to go by, it's going to be Scott Fardy & the kids again
I wonder if Leinster have been browbeaten into sending a strong side to Munster this year after the noise that was made from some quarters last year about them 'disrespecting' the fixture?

I'd like to think not!
That was longer ago than last year.
Last year we still sent a weakened team but we beat them, it wasnt as weakened though.

We'll rest our big names.
No it was last year, they all looked like feckin eejits afterwards.

Our team is slightly weaker than I expected but realistically there are only a few positions where I'd be slightly worried and they've all been playing really well recently. Most of the pack is really strong and the forward subs are great too. That Connacht team is no great shakes, especially without Marmion and Bundee only on the bench, they really set the tempo for them. Famous last words but given that Bundee got married in NZ a week ago I can't imagine he's in tip top shape.
It's a big test for COB, if he comes through this one then I think he becomes a live option for bigger games and might just be added to the European squad.
I'm pretty confident we'll win, there's enough from 1-10 to get us on top. Hope Adam Byrne keeps up his good form.

I'm not confident at all, I was in the Sportsground last year and saw a hardnosed and passionate Connact team absolutely dick us. The Connacht boys are always up for this fixture and will look at our 15 and think they have an excellent chance of knocking us over. That's a really disappointing team to be perfectly honest.

My only concern is the lack of Michael's players.
Well yes, otherwise I'd be pretty late for post match pints. The lack of Michael's players is a concern alright. On the plus side, we do have 4 players called Byrne in the squad.
This is a bit of a step up for the kids compared to the recent Ospreys and Dragons games.
In particular, had Ospreys and Dragons availed of opportunities that arose early in both games then "things" could have been a lot different.
Connacht will be a different kettle of fish and there'll be no waving of white flags.
