Law 9.13 Dangerous tackling
Under World Rugby’s Sanctions for Foul Play, Law 9.13 Dangerous tackling carries the following sanction entry points – Low End: 2 weeks; Mid-range: 6 weeks; Top end: 10 to 52 weeks.

Personally, I think it will deemed to be low end so 2 weeks. He'll probably have that reduced by 1 week for his previous record. I think we'll see him in the Aviva.

Odd alright. I'd have thought the bookie would have considered that Toulouse are probably a tougher opposition to Munster and that Sarries are a very very good team hitting form whereas we were pretty lucky to squeeze past a mid ranked Ulster team.

They say home field advantage is worth a score so the bookies might be saying both teams are a wash.

ROC on Twitter:
Robbie Henshaw and Devin Toner came through training this week according to Leinster coach Leo Cullen. They should be fit to face Glasgow next weekend which will give them a chance to prove their fitness for the Toulouse semi-final
We could see a very strong side next week.

Do we know who is in our EPRC squad and who they are allowed to add? All the speculation on the no 7 shirt by broadcasters seems to ignore this.
Also is Nick McCarthy still in our EPRC squad?

Here's the squad

https://www.epcrugby.com/club/leinster-rugby/#players

Don't think we can add to it (might be an emergency exception for specialist positions, e.g. front row, scrum-half)

McCarthy is not in the squad. O'Sullivan and Patterson both are.

So - I know you've checked it out already - who is the team / logo missing?
I like your right leg. A lovely leg for the role.
I've got nothing against your right leg.

Tx, so as I read this our option for 7 is SOB, Ruddock & Deegan. And if we want to have Fardy & Lowe playing we need to have O'Sullivan or Patterson on the bench.

Correct. We've six fit back-rows in the squad (Ruddock, Murphy, SOB, Deegan, Doris and Conan). Seven if you want to include Scott Fardy.

“Johnny’s coming on well,” Cullen said. “It wasn’t a significant injury that he had, so he’s rehabbing this week and will return to training hopefully next week.”

Say more things like that Leo,........ baby.

Toulouse well beaten today at Toulon. Had a mix and match team out there, can’t really read much into it realistically.

They’re home to Clermont next, and this result means they will likely need a result to stay top of the Top 14. We also have an extra day for recovery after the Glasgow game.

All small things but at this level, hopefully they’ll add up to some kind of advantage.

staying top doesn't really come into it in france...same as pro14 with playoffs & final at the end of the season.
toulouse are well clear of the third placed team......guaranteed a playoff place already. clermont have a semi final the following weekend as well...so I guess their key players will be rested. clermont play today..but have a 9 point cushion in second.

hope to see clermont in the challenge cup final in newcastle...brilliant fans.

The Very Best Fans !! Have been fed and watered by them in France before and they know their rugby !! Sorely missed in the HCUP - welcome back to them next year, the competition is poorer without them and bar Leinster the one team I'd love to see lift the trophy after so many years of nearly being there is Clermont :)

Irish Times saying Sexton is a doubt for Glasgow and this game. Not a lot of info to support that though, but then with JS you never know. He always seems to be a doubt

I had a thought over the weekend (always dangerous for someone like me) and with Ross Byrne being wrapped in bubble wrap (the cotton wool supplier lost the contract in a competitive tender process) and nobody really sure what's up with Sexton, it points towards the following conspiracy theory:

Sexton has won multiple league titles, Heineken Cups, a grand slam, triple crowns, world player of the year, Lions series (and a schools cup) and, at 33, knows that most of the medals he will win in his career are already in the cabinet. The major one missing is of course the World Cup. Much like his performances at the sharp end of the 2016/17 season when it was clear as day that he was protecting himself for the Lions, it's looking more and more like he is building everything towards the World Cup. The Pro14 and the Heineken Cup are mere warm up games for what really matters for him in 2019 and he will not jeopardise the World Cup for that.

If that is he case, and recalling the Pro12 semi v Scarletts in 2017, I trust that Leo and Stu are on the lookout for similar performances and ready with the shepherd's crook should he try that on again. I love Sexton btw, I think he's great, but I have a nagging suspicion that Ross Byrne has a BIG role to play if we are to retain either or both of our titles this season.
