Delighted for Connors. It can't have been an easy few months. If he gets on will that be 56 players for the season? That's outrageous.

Yep, player #56 for the season. A lot but we need those numbers all the same. We had a prop wearing number 20 last week and packing down at 8!

Match Preview

After drawing with Benetton last week, the already qualified Leinster need to fulfill another meaningless fixture for them at home to Glasgow before the big match against Toulouse next week.

Glasgow won't be short of motivation though as they are still fighting for top spot of Conference A against Munster and a guaranteed home semi-final. They are at home to Edinburgh in the final match in two weeks, but given how Munster have sent a considerably weakened team to Benetton tonight a win tomorrow afternoon should clinch top spot for them.

Good start from Tomane. I really think he's improved dramatically in the last three weeks or so

No, to be fair to you both, he's had a great start to the game. He's carrying very powerfully and making some great tackles.
We all dream of a team of Sean O'Briens......

Looked like his left knee, hopefully taking him off was just precautionary.

That was a bit disappointing. We looked unimaginative and blunt after we got the fourth try. Had a chance to send Glasgow on the road before their home final too, not to mention the possibility of an injury to Furlong.

I know the result isn't very important to us and Glasgow still had something real to play for, but still a bit worrying

HOS made a few bad decisions, the box kick into the wind cost a try and the intercept also cost us. He needs this experience though.

Clearly Glasgow needed this more than Leinster, but it was a gripping match.

Sorry Tom.
Looks like another trip to the RDS if ye can win the QF.
You know I'm going to lose,
And gambling's for fools,
But that's the way I like it baby, I don't want to live FOREVER!

I won't care too much if we win next week.
I'd rather we played you in Newcastle anyway.
How good must saracens be though when you consider the ease with which they have disposed of Glasgow three times this season.
What's up with Leinster? Whatever it is, seemed to infect Ireland this 6 Nations as well.
On a positive note it's great to see the four provinces qualifying for the HC.
Ditto Benetton if they can keep their noses in front of Edinburgh. Might not be any Welsh team in the HC next year. Bizarre, what were they doing winning a grand slam?

If both us and “Munster” make it to the HCup final then they would have a pro14 playoff game to play the week before whereas we would have a 2 week gap.
If I follow your logic, having already put it up to Ulster by giving some late points to Treviso, this is a real chance to have a go at Munster and Connacht by losing to Glasgow. That's some top level inter-pro trolling.
The whole thing was a carefully-executed exercise in inter-pro trolling.

Would it not have been better for "Munster" had we won?

Despite the loss it was nice to see the much-maligned Tomane and both Kearneys play well. Rob looked delighted when he scored his first try, it's been a long time since he last scored one and it was a nice moment.

SOB was pretty ineffective again, Deegan is in great form and should start next week.

Hopefully Furlong is alright. It's always annoying to lose at home but losing to a first choice Glasgow in a nothing game is hardly the end of the world.
