Search for the match thread on reddit. The first stream posted is excellent quality.

By no means a vintage performance but job done against a stubborn opponent who lack a cutting edge
and will have a say in the final make up of this group

Awful to listen to him and the woman commentating alongside him. Ruined it. Game wasn't much better to watch.
Still a bp win and hopefully no significant injuries ahead of next week's game.

Im probably being a bit spoiled but thought that was slightly underwhelming. Our forwards didn’t establish any dominance, and in particular our maul didn’t make much headway. I thought we’d put the foot down once Johnny got the 4th try. It was actually Benetton who had most of the game from that point. Maybe my view is tainted by them finishing on the front foot, and the fact I can’t feel my feet yet

Johnny looked good, delighted he got that try. He was definitely pulling his penalty kicks to the line up short though. Probably a hangover from the quarter final.

Rhys and Toner had some standout moments, JVDF was very good in attack. We got loose at times though, Ross Byrne’s crossfield kick was silly and I dunno why Rhys flicked that ball on. Did he think we had an advantage? We definitely should have!

Anyway, 5 points and no apparent new injuries. Can’t complain too much. To France!

A bonus point and no injuries apart from Doris who won’t be available next week one would think. However, we didn’t play especially well. Presumably traveling to France should concentrate the collective mindset and see us play with more purpose next time out.

Aside from the game...
today was the first time I've experienced a significant delay getting into the ground, there was a very slow moving queue into Block K. I rocked up at the RDS about 15 min before kick-off and got to my seat just in time.
I think this was due to the young steward inside the ground carefully inspecting my season ticket card, presumably to check I was arriving into the correct block. Usually a wave of the card is enough, and the stewards just pay attention to anyone asking them where to go. Hope this won't be a regular thing.

'The woman'?That'll be Fiona Couglan, former Irish captain, to you. But I agree about Nugent.

Benneton have improved hugely over the last couple of seasons under Crowley. Combined with multiple players coming back into the fold, perhaps a little stutter was always a possibility.

She just needs to drop the “we”, she’s as bad as Luke.

Job done, 5 pts...

Ringers exceptional in attack and defence, J10 looking encouraging and the ref was awful. Breakdown a mess and ref spent most of the game looking at his touch judges to make decisions. Clueless.

Fardy is some guy to have on the bench.....

Treviso a tough unit now and will not get rolled easily. Could easily win a couple of games in our pool.

Considering the mix of players coming back it was fine and gives them plenty to be working on during the week....

I agree with him. At one stage I lost commentary and just had the crowd noise
but they fixed it unfortunately.
Nugent drives me mental because he never shuts up and has such a mincing voice.
Also employing someone to offer expert analysis who has never played rugby to a
standard anywhere near Heineken cup level is a bit problematic in at least a couple of ways.
It smacks of tokenism and also these experts can come across as a bit desperate to show
how much they know. Finally women's voices just don't work as well as men's in being intelligible
over crowd noises unless they've had a 40 a day habit for more than a decade. They have to shout,
there's currently a woman football commentator on 5live who sounds like Spitting Image's Margaret Thatcher.

I find it’s the opposite for me. I find women’s voices - with their higher pitch - easier to discern against background noise

Women never get listened to unless they deliberately lower the pitch of their voice. Sounde ridiculous but is a well known fact.

Millennia of conditioning.

Yeah that sounds ridiculous alright!

Opinions on the referee tonight? Booting him seemed to be the only thing animating the crowd at times. From my perch in Block A I only saw two proper howlers.

Try being a woman or a man with a high pitched voice for a while. See how seriously people take you.
