Our ball retention has been below par and we’ve given up on the maul too early. Three tries is a great return though

HT summary.
Very entertaining game.
Northampton have put it up to us
We look soft in midfield.
Lowe needs to learn when not to pass.
Doris has been a bit of a peno machine.
3Ts and the lead at HT is a good place to be.
Larmour was a good selection at 15 (so far Rob, relax)

Think the ball retention is due, in part, to the pressure Northampton have been applying but point taken.

I don’t think the ref has been fantastic, but I think we can’t complain too much about the penalties we’ve conceded. We might even count ourselves lucky that Porter was still on the pitch to score that third try.

The problems are fixable, I think we’ve come here with a plan to play ball and throw it around a bit. I think we’ll see a little bit more conservatism in the second half.

This is where I’d heavily question R. Kearney on the bench. We basically have no options to mix up the midfield. Ringrose has been terrible in defence, hasn’t been able to match the physicality Proctor and Hutchinson have been bringing. If Tomane was 23, he’s an option there and on the wing if we need him. Basically the one position we don’t want to touch right now is the only position Kearney covers.

Feels a little bit like he was included to keep him happy and not because he was the best choice for 23.

So classy there from Sexton. Held onto the ball until the last second and created the linebreak for Larmour. Lovely.

Big 35 mins for Ross Byrne.
Looks like he could be starting next week too having seen that Sexton knock.

Really well managed by JGP and the forwards without Johnny there. Far more patient and controlled.

Brilliant! Super play all round but love that break from Doris, he's always looking for that and is a really smart player.

Lots of great work from Josh toom good clearouts and stepped in at 9.

That move started with Ringrose at 12 again. Robbie can run great lines off him there.

Wouldn't mind seeing Fardy on for Rhys or Toner. Both have been caught a few times in open play for pace.

I think Biggar was looking for that, he was off the ground before Garry hit him.

Yellow card was the right call.

Annoying that BT don’t show yellow card clock.

Josh really has been great, probably my MOTM. That said, I'd love to see Connors on the pitch in a situation like this.
