Where do you see him coming through 10,12 or 15? Or a wait and see?

Due to old school allegiance - forgive me - watching Hawkshaw helping Belvo win two SC titles in a row and narrowly missing a third I was convinced he was going to be the NEXT BIG THING. As such when Harry Byrne and himself were playing for the Ireland u20s I nearly took umbrage, that the former was wearing 10 and the latter 12. That combo worked very well however till Hawkshaw got badly injured, which has kept him off our collective radar for nearly two seasons. In the meantime Harry B. has gone up and up in my estimation. Since his first start vs Ulster last Xmas I'm convinced he's has the potential to be a greater player than his brother. Seeing as how we have j10, Ross, Harry and Kieran Frawley all duking it out for the outhalf position, I reckon Hawkshaw's future is at first centre - or perhaps full-back, although I've never seen him playing there.

What I remember about him was his decision making, he looked like he had so much time on the ball and would make really good choices, I suppose what I am saying is he looked really experienced even though it was only 20's and that was playing at 12 as opposed to his natural 10. There should be a good bit of game time at 12 (Tomane's minutes) for someone be it one of the O'Brien's or Hawkshaw.

He’s played a few pre season games for Belvedere at fullback and was meant to start 13 for Ireland u18s in 2017 when he was meant to be captain but then got injured. Not saying it has any relevance now but he also played flanker/ number 8 in first year

apparently no academy players will be available for their clubs for the foreseeable future due to covid bubble and trying to protect senior group from infection.

Understandable. Hopefully that won't impact their development, there's nothing like gametime to improve a player.
