Lovely looking squad. Hope Clarkson gets the chance to scrummage with Ryan behind him. Wonder is Cian Kelleher just not impressing in training? Would love to see him involved more.

The sport that unites Catholic, Protestant and dissenter has had its day of days. Pity anybody who can't enjoy it. Some day.

Gerry Thornley 23/3/09. 'Nuff said.

I'd say he'll be getting a load of time in the next two months or so. Big opp for him with Lowe becoming IQ.

Would imagine JOB is in at 23 to cover centre.

Match Preview

Leinster got their season off to a solid start last week with a professional if dreary win over the Dragons in the RDS. For any neutrals though they were lucky if they switched stations over to the Ulster - Benetton game instead. That match was an absolute cracker, especially the breathless first half where both teams just seemed to run everything.

Lot of Ireland players getting the run out here. I wonder do they really think that some of the others will need game time managed in the next block? With injuries and retirement we are pretty light in the backs, not just back 3.

Ronan Kelleher has emerged as a possible doubt for the Six Nations after suffering a training ground injury with Leinster this week.

Cian Tracey
@CianTracey1

Rónan Kelleher was due to start for Leinster tomorrow, but he suffered a "minor quad injury” in training and has been ruled out.

The hooker is still due to link up with the Ireland squad next week, where his fitness will be further assessed.

We really need to cut out that 'off feet' penalty.

Has been a very common feature of our attacking play since the restart.

Ed Byrne's carrying has been really good. Baird likewise.

Lovely stuff there from JGP. Basically created that try with a fairly dodgy maul involvement!

Whitehouse cannot control a scrum - front rows far too close every time

great to see a crowd at a game
You know I'm going to lose,
And gambling's for fools,
But that's the way I like it baby, I don't want to live FOREVER!
