That pass that JGP loves really is very hard to defend. Brilliant from him and a great finish. So happy to be wrong about DK, I had written him off ages ago.
Ulster started very aggressively but seem to have run out of steam in the last few minutes.

Great finishing from Dave there

Leinster much more aggressive in the tackle and producing some great counter-rucking.

Johnny hasn't brought his kicking boots
Re: Leinster v Ulster Fri 8th January 2021 19:35 EirSport
A couple of good lineout steals too!
Re: Leinster v Ulster Fri 8th January 2021 19:35 EirSport
Brace very reluctant to give a card there. That's two in the space of a few minutes and his mitigations don't actually apply to the high tackle framework
Anyone But New Zealand

We've clearly seen something in Ulster backline that we want to kick in behind against. Was the same earlier in the season.

A man down & they are winning the penalties!

Very very mixed performance yet again. We are not in good form at all.
Besides Ryan our pack hasn't got going in terms of carrying.
Sexton has been poor, but rest of the backline has been sharp enough.
Need a bit more from Rhys & Doris.

Penalties costing us dear....need to be a bit smarter lads.

Very disappointing to come out net -6 points from a 10 min period with one extra man. While Ulster seem to have conceded more penalties overall, we’re being pinged in kickable places.
Still think we look a lot better than Ulster, and a lot more likely to score tries.

A lot of very fussy breakdown calls (against both teams) interrupting the flow of the game.
"This is breathless stuff.....it's on again. Contepomi out to Hickie,D'Arcy,Hickie.......................HICKIE FOR THE CORNER! THAT IS AWESOME!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Breakdown costing us again, think we’ve largely looked good but then got turned over at bad times.
Thought it was stupid to go for that short kick from the start again, we just ended up defending for the next few minutes and don’t think we had much possession or territory in that first 15 minutes.
Can’t understand why we often go for difficult kicks and turn down easy ones.
On the plus side Ryan looks sharp again to me, seems to be lighter on his feet and looks powerful and hungry to carry. Doris has been excellent as well. Rhys powerful in defence but we could do with him carrying more.
A bit like last week I’d say Luke getting runners off him close in will be important.
Good game, Ulster well organised and very physical. TOT looks a big prospect and McIlroy very good too.

Wouldn't mind Ed Byrne on at 55 mins. Ciano really is a shadow of his former self.
Re: Leinster v Ulster Fri 8th January 2021 19:35 EirSport
The move where we just fired the ball across the line without fixing anyone and Cronin got turnover was really really poor. Led indirectly to Ulster pen.
Haven't seen us do something that toothless in attack for a while.
Putting Ross/Johnny to 10, RH to 12 and JOB at 13 might make us more dangerous.

The touchjudge on the far side looks like Jacob Stockdale

JGP's passing hasn't been good. Has stopped our momentum a few times.
