good idea epaddy.I passed the RDS today and the big C'MON LEINSTER banner is still up on the back of the stand. Maybe that could be brought over
Ill have quotes from those sites tomorrow hopefully, so we can sort out the pictures or whatever.
Definitely getting "THE SWERVE" , and get one or two "LEINSTER" flags with thte logo. After that, whatever anybody thinks. "AFFLUENCE" would be a good one too i reckon. Gotta put on my thinking cap over the next few days!!

good stuff let me know how you get on about the drum.
I've got a link for you to about the Toulouse tickets, but its in my work email, so i cant send it to you until the morning.
Not sure what time the branch will open ticket sales to the general public - if you get to read the mail early you may be able to avoid the rush.

Ill have those quotes by 2moro for flags hopefully, and they are from the UK so wont take that long.
I reckon two or three big ones to hang over, and then smaller(still big though) flags.
After we get settled on the sizes etc. and the prices, well get a post going on how to get the cash together.

drums/flags
Listen folks, if you want to buy drums and flags yourselves that's great but I've been speaking with a number of different sources about new drums/bodhrans and flags and will hopefully have news by the end of next week.
Hopefully I will be able to get the branch to bring whatever flags are left in the Leinster lock up and they should be transporting the bodhrans for us also.
If you guys come across something at a steal over the next few days grab it, but give me a week or so.

Re: drums/flags
I reckon we give Sourz the breathing space hes asking for, the creme de menthe drinking loon has come thru for us this season, so we can at least do this for him.apple sourz wrote:Listen folks, if you want to buy drums and flags yourselves that's great but I've been speaking with a number of different sources about new drums/bodhrans and flags and will hopefully have news by the end of next week.

PayPal is a payment method - all you need is a PayPal account. Alternatively, someone could *nominate their own bank account and we can make lodgements accordingly. *Naturally whomever is co=ordinating could just PM bank a/c details, rather than posting them for all to view on the web.Dave Cahill wrote:I reckon we give Sourz the breathing space hes asking for, the creme de menthe drinking loon has come thru for us this season, so we can at least do this for him.apple sourz wrote:Listen folks, if you want to buy drums and flags yourselves that's great but I've been speaking with a number of different sources about new drums/bodhrans and flags and will hopefully have news by the end of next week.

Just got a qoute back from one flag site, 12ft by 6ft (the biggest ones), are around £200-£250 each, depending on how many colours, ideally between two and four.
Order time for these is 7-10 days.

Ill keep digging, and see what other qoutes etc. i can get in the meantime. We have plenty of time anyway, so we dont need to be ordering anything for another week or so anyway. If you guys come across something at a steal over the next few days grab it, but give me a week or so.

Guys i have a question re the flags.
What size flags are you all talking about?
I wouldn't recommend the giant flags that munster fans have made as they are more trouble than they're worth. We had over 40 people contribute towards the fund of those flags, and its always ended up with a group of about 8 - 10 people always having to take responsibility at the time.
if they're individual flags you're getting, then that's a great idea and well done.

I am the one who knocks!
The biggest ones are the 6' by 12' which I thought we could get one off with just LEINSTER on it with the logo maybe.Guys i have a question re the flags.

After that, Im thinking smaller ones (around 4' by 6') with "THE SWERVE", "AFFLUENCE" and other things on them. With those ones, you can get sleeves or hoops on them for a pole/stick. In Toulouse they have these large ones (just with the logo on them) on these bendy poles-they look amazing!!

Defo want one of those with the bendy poles. They're class. Any idea where we'd get one??
Rucks right about the flags though. A few large ones, to drape over the terrace etc, but not too many.
