Simon Geoghegan. :D

He was (and probably still is) a beautiful man.

The try is a beauty. Imagine what the 90s might have been like if he could have stayed fit!

2nd clip would be a penalty against Geoghan now though!

Very true, he was lucky to get away with it. He was such a stirring player though wasn't he

My childhood hero and still favourite player of all time. Nearly shed a tear watching that first clip. Focking beautiful Dave, you've made my day.

Serious obstruction for the try, but finished with such pace (Tony Underwood totally lost...again). Geoghegan always seemed to be barely touching the ground when he ran. Nice to see a backline with some depth to it too...

There was a lot of discussion about the obstruction thing at the time, but because the ball is passed in front of and across the dummy runners it can't be obstruction.

pop quiz question. What was that move called (by the squad)?

Nope, though there used to be a joke about a "skip danagher"

It had a particular name, currently quite pertinent

Nope. it was a London Irish move and was named after the coach that devised it
