RefLink Radio
Does anyone know what frequency the reflink radios are for the RWC
Would like to get generic reflink radios and not the €14 RWC ones as I'm bringing two kids along and they will both want one

Re: RefLink Radio
There's an old post on the internet saying that it's 62.7MHz at at twickers, although apparently this changes. You could search within the band surrounding that area as they'll be transmitting before the game.
Anyone But New Zealand
Re: RefLink Radio
Just bring an old phone or 2 with an fm radio. Or indeed a tiny fm radio if you have one of those. (If your current phone doesn't have one. An actual one not an app) Then you can tune in to whatever frequency they use. Normally 96fm.mtleinster wrote:Does anyone know what frequency the reflink radios are for the RWC

A 15 year old nokia or the like can be handy at festivals or away trips. Has FM radio. Can make calls and send texts. Battery lasts days. Is small and neat. If you lose it or drop it in water then who cares. This covers many people's needs.

How many of these apply to a 20 year old blonde. (The answer may reveal more about you than any youngwan)olaf the fat wrote:So can a 20 year old blondejohng wrote:Just bring an old phone or 2 with an fm radio. 8810 ftw
Re: RefLink Radio
Would a 20 year old even know that mobiles used to have keypads on them?
Re: RefLink Radio
Considering that smartphones were not common until they were 14 or 15 I'd say yes
Re: RefLink Radio
Some of the reflinks are now being broadcast outside of the frequency that a bog standard phone or small radio are capable of picking up. Thus more sales of the reflink apparatus.
Re: RefLink Radio
Sneaky.
Not caught on here yet thankfully. The recent Welsh game was on 96 fm.
These frequencies are licensed so there would have to be some application to a state department somewhere. If you know where to look for such things

Re: RefLink Radio
Tried a radio in Cardiff & couldn't pick anything up. The same one gets RefLink in the Aviva no problem.mtleinster wrote:Has anyone used a bogstandard radio at this world cup yet?
Get in the f%~king bag.
Re: RefLink Radio
Apparently they use various frequencies in the 60s over there and never 96 like we do.

Re: RefLink Radio
so called "reflink" at St James Park on Saturday....pure rubbish...
according to the "commentary" there were only sarries players on the pitch for the first 10 mins...!
5 of us passed it around for general amusement, then it got dumped before 1/2 time....
If there was an aware for worst "reflink" ever...give it to whoever produced Saturday's version....
