At a guess we've one of the biggest packs in the tournament.
Our starting pack against France was 910kg which as Bill McLaren would have said 'that's a lot of beef on the hoof'

Justin Marshall on BBC Wales Scrum V. has just predicted Argentina to beat us, "because they can't produce again, after last weekend and without SO'B."

That's exactly what JS will want to hear. Great motivation for our guys

I thought our uber pro, process focused, set up would have moved beyond such rudimentary motivational tactics :)

The Guardian rugby writers (5 of) have predicted that Argentina will win, 3 votes to 2.
The general concensus outside Ireland seems to be for the Argies to prevail.
The bookies have us as slight favourites.
You know I'm going to lose,
And gambling's for fools,
But that's the way I like it baby, I don't want to live FOREVER!

I must admit, I'm confident we'll win. Frankly, I think we'll win by 7+. Maybe I'm mental, but I think people are overstating how good they are. Yeah, they beat South Africa. For the same reason Japan beat them in my opinion. You can call me an unwashed rugby fan if you like, but I'm in a hotel in Cardiff right now with a fistfull of tickets and honestly, I'm confident.

The brits know we don't handle the favourite's tag too well and that we prefer to be underdogs.
At a guess they are just doing their bit for the cause.

I don't foresee any problems. Argentina have won a total of 2 games in the Rugby Championship and are playing away in Europe. Can't see us lose.

Breaking news and it's unfortunate news. J10 is ruled out of the game and world cup now. Mad dog will start. Coming from a good source.

If confirmed-
No surprise he didn't make the Argie game.
Surprised he's out for the tournament.
it makes us underdogs. Look out Argentina.
A SH and an OH could be on the plane shortly.

It explains why he was so upset coming off, he must have known himself it was bad.
This is looking like NZ's experience in the last RWC, let's hope it ends the same way.

Confirmed that Sexton is out for tomorrow (nothing further so far) and that Boss has been called up to replace Payne (which would indicate that Sextons absence might be of tournament duration)

We really should still beat Argentina. Many on here would not have pom in the team anyway, henderson is a good replacement for poc, and many would say that henry is a far better 7 than sob.

Sexton out is a blow, but I had suspected that this game would be played from 9 anyway, so not a major blow for this game.

That said, I can not see us coming home with the cup without the leadership of poc and sexton. The real test will be in the semi.
Just because a post upsets you, that doesn’t mean that it is wrong. People have different views in all aspects of life, this is a key ingredient to an interesting conversation.
