I agree with most of that, but imo earls is one of the best players out there. Get him some space and something might be on.neiliog93 wrote:Our physicality in defence is very good, but our back 3 are really letting us down, both in terms of decision making and actually putting the man down. Kearney is the worst offender. Line-out is cack and it's costing us. The scrum dominance we expected hasn't materialised although we are holding our own.
If we can keep them out (far from certain) and go through 15+ phases in their 22 again, we might just sneak a try through sheer force of will.

Earls is one of our best out there, and impact for tempo: Henderson and O'Mahony.

Rush of blood to the head, where we actually need cool heads here. We should have had a try as we have had them in the maul,

Now, lets get a nice tight bind between the second rows, we've been really loose in this bind all season

We were going forward when Barnes called used it in that scrum. But trying to stay calm in the moment here, you'd have to say we're just not as good as we thought we were.

He called use it and then the shove came on. Which is expected as Wales's back row are looking to disengage. We haven't got a shove onFLIP wrote:Bent Barnes making us use it just as shove comes on.Dave Cahill wrote:Now, lets get a nice tight bind between the second rows, we've been really loose in this bind all season

You know, it would be easier if we were just sh!t. But the fact that we flatter to deceive and look good for a game or two makes these kind of results so, so hard to take.

Third tournament failure on the bounce for Ireland

The complete lack of ability of this team to convert territory and into tries is damning.
Ireland are lacking an ability in attack and are poor in defence.
