U20s and Womens going ahead but BCD. as of now
You know I'm going to lose,
And gambling's for fools,
But that's the way I like it baby, I don't want to live FOREVER!

It's a decent list with some broad scope research but some of the UK based suggestions may be over-rated. The development of some players either hits a wall or accelerates at this age and certainly the loss of the JWC will be a huge disappointment to this entire age-grade. Hopefully World Rugby will try very hard to get an alternative window for this competition in September.

I would go as far as to suggest that the IRFU should offer to host the Tournament from the first week of September for 5 weeks. Potential venues could include Energia Park, Independent Park, Thomond Park, or other Club 4G facilities around the country.

Yes, there may be an economic risk in this offer but now is the time that a Union which fundamentally has resources (facilities, Professional Staff & Volunteers) needs to put their hand up to bail out the rugby world and look to assist the recovery of our society from the extraordinary impact of this Pandemic.

That would be class if it was over here, I thought it’s still going ahead no? Didn’t hear anything about the JWC being postponed / cancelled

Would be nice to have an event in Munster or even better in galway. A world cup with games in Limerick and Galway so Sportsground and Thomond would be fantastic. I personally wouldnt have anything in Dublin. Not enough big rugby events played outside Dublin when there used be far more

I've a lot of sympathy for these lads. They were something special and headed for a championship, and it's age-grade rugby - you only get one shot at it as a team.

must be a sickener for them alright.. irfu have done very little to celebrate them in this quite period, you'd think they'd try to replay some of the games on their youtube or post some highlights...

Projecting where this years 20s's are next season:

Prop
Tom Clarkson(Blackrock/DUFC) - Leinster Academy Y2
Charlie Ward(Tullow RFC/Clontarf) - Leinster Academy Y1
Harry Noonan(Greystones RFC/Old Wesley)
Marcus Hanan(Clane RFC/Old Belvedere)
Ryan McMahon(Clongowes/Old Belvedere)
Ciaran Ryan(Rockwell/Cashel)

Could see both Noonan and Hanan maybe heading west.

Hooker
Tom Stewart(BRA/Ballynahinch)(u19) - Ulster Academy Y2
John McKee(Campbell/Old Belvedere)
Bobby Sheehan(Clongowes/UCD)

Could see both McKee and Sheehan being on trial with leinster to battle it out for an academy place.

Lock
Tom Ahern(Waterpark RFC/Shannon) - Munster Academy Y3
Brian Deeny(Wexford RFC/Clontarf) - Leinster Academy Y2
Eoin O'Connor(Waterpark RFC/Young Munster) - Munster Academy Y2
Paddy Kelly(St. Munchins/Garryowen) - Munster Academy Y2
Joe McCarthy(Blackrock/DUFC)(u19) - Leinster Academy Y1

Backrow
David McCann(RBAI/Banbridge) - Ulster Academy Y3
Josh Dunne(Exile/Galwegians) - Connacht Academy Y3
Sean O'Brien(Blackrock/UCD) - Leinster Academy Y1
Alex Soroka(Belvedere/DUFC)(u19) - Leinster Academy Y1
Mark Hernan(St. Michaels/Lansdowne) - Leinster Academy Y1
Cian Prendergast(Newbridge/UCD)
Anthony Ryan(Clongowes/DUFC)
Cian Hurley(CBC Cork/Garryowen)

Could see Prendergast being approached by Connacht.

Scrumhalf
Lewis Finlay(Down HS/Malone) - Ulster Academy Y1
Ben Murphy(Pres Bray/Clontarf)(u19)
Conor McKee(Sullivan Upper/Queens)(u19)

Don't see either Murphy or McKee getting full deals this summer.

Outhalf
Jack Crowley(Bandon/Cork Con) - Munster Academy Y1
Cathal Forde(Coláiste Iognáid/Corinthians)(u19) - Connacht Academy Y1
Tim Corkery(Kilkenny RFC/UCD)(u19)

Think Leinster will wait and Corkery especially given how young he is, is almost an u18 for this season.

Centre
Hayden Hyde(Exile/Queens) - Ulster Academy Y2
Dan Kelly(Exile/Leicester)(u19) - Leicester Tigers Academy
Luis Faria(Wanderers/DUFC)
Harry O'Riordan(CBC Cork/UCC)(u19)

O'Riordan could go with Munster hard to know, Faria may get an offer from Connacht.

Back Three
Oran McNulty(Exile/Corinthians) - Connacht AcademyY3
Aaron Sexton(Down HS/Queens) - Ulster Academy Y2
Andrew Smith(St. Michaels/Clontarf) - Leinster Academy Y2
Ethan McIlroy(Methody/Queens) - Ulster Academy Y2
Diarmuid Kilgallen(Roscrea/Galwegians) - Connacht Academy Y1
Niall Comerford(Blackrock/UCD)
Max O'Reilly(St. Gerards/DUFC)
Ben Moxham(Ballymena/Ballymena)(u19)

Comerford/O'Reilly could get trials from Leinster for preseason. Not sure about Moxham.

I'd imagine SKY are asking a premium price for the England game considering the lack of content which might be disturbing that initiative.

Was Marcus Hannan not starting ahead of Ward in the 6 nations? Or did Ward get an injury?

Ward started the 1st game, then Hanan started the next two.

Don't think theres much between them, Hanan has more physical potential. Wouldn't surprise me if both were involved with leinster next season. Or just one.
