Yeah, Japan struggle a bit when they are made to play the same laws as the opposition team.

We want a Scotland win, any Scotland win, to top the group. A draw or a Japan win will result in us being second.

I just want a good game, an honest one. The Ireland Japan match left a terrible taste in my mouth and soured the whole tournament.

Japan loss with 2 match points and they top the group don’t they?

I don't want to be begrudging to the Japanese, as they are really brilliant to watch, but they are all over the place at the breakdown. They just run in from all sides.

Maybe that's the way forward for world rugby. Forget about legality at the breakdown and we'll have more exiting running rugby

In hindsight, a LBP was our greatest World Cup achievement as opposed to our most embarrassing defeat

I know people love to mock the rankings but Japan are ranked ahead of Scotland going into this....

Selection of Refs for Q/F games will be critical. We could get an Aussie or French group or Owens. Japan v SA could get Barnes or an NZ ref - probably not O'Keeffe. Wales v Fr could get a Aussie or Peiper. England v Australia could get Owens, French or NZ, maybe O'Keeffe.

Rolland will try to avoid having a Ref from either of the countries that the winner will face.

Gardner doesn't deserve a Q/F. Berry we had last time. Pearce doesn't deserve Q/F as he continually over-ruled TMO calls.

If Furlong and Porter want to raise their standards in open play, a copy of the 20 minute contribution of the blond-haired Japanese No 18 would be worth some study. He was magnificent in carrying into contact and passing beautifully to colleagues and contributing constantly at high pace and with pure quality. A great cameo.
