MICHAEL CHEIKA has been hit with a €20,000 fine for his behaviour at last season's Amlin Challenge Cup final, WRITES Ruaidhri O'Connor.
The former Leinster coach was back in Dublin this week to face a disciplinary hearing over his conduct after his Stade Francais side lost to Harlequins in Cardiff in May.
The majority of the fine -- €15,000 -- came as a result of insulting, disparaging, intimidatory or offensive comments he made to match officials, while the remaining €5,000 resulted from comments he made to an ERC official at full-time.
Half of the Australian's fine has been suspended until June 30, 2013. He was also found liable for the costs of the hearing.
