Farmers in Co Cork have called on Cork County Council to re-consider its decision not to distribute grit to local communities, so that they can clear roads which the Council is not treating.

Cork County Council says it cannot supply grit to community groups because they have not been given the appropriate health and safety training to spread the grit safely.

A similar system is operating across the county bounds in Kerry without problems.

Directly elect Mayor--- Boll*x to that.

Snow ploughs that can sit in a yard for 11 months of year and are primed and ready for events such as the current weather ----- has to be more effective than the former.

Slipper apparently the 14s and 16s are all still operating. 14s aren't quite making it to Ballinteer but at least that would be better than walking the whole way.
