The film itself started about a half an hour ago on TCM movies, he probably has it on record.
Have it on record myself, is it worth watching, like I don't want to waste a couple of hours of my life when I have so much to do.
It is a great film. Highly recommend it.

The first 20 or so minutes of Full Metal Jacket is awesome, the drill seargant scene with the new recruits is off the charts brilliant. Not a bad movie after that too.

Statisticians can to some extent reduce that margin for error once they are aware of the problem and the extent.
Reading between the lines, we just don't have the resources to do random sampling yet but as soon as it's possible we should be doing it.
So it's fair enough to prioritize but I would be concerned if we keep putting it off.
No you can't infer anything from a test that's 30% inaccurate. That's basically a 1 in 3 chance of being positive or negative irrespective of the actual condition. If you were testing twice a week that's basically a years worth of stats to from an opinion. Pros do logisitics, amatuers do strategy.

I suspect there's more to this than meets the eye.
Like why are the tests so unreliable?
There could be a number of reasons and most of them having nothing to do with chance.
Anyway maybe let the hare sit for now.

It's worth watching for the private pyle and drill major scenes alone.

People losing their minds here because McDonalds shutting frankly shows how moronic our society has become , the queues for the Swansea drive through were insane as were people flooding into beauty spots on the weekend

we are rapidly become a nation of idiots and we have a prize one leading the nation in this time of crisis, not sure if he is attempting to save lives or businesses but looks he is managing to do neither

Hopefully things are better for you guys , look after yourselves and each other and stay safe

Possibly changing the focus here a little bit. Attached below is a French medical website that is highly regarded by many senior hospital staff in France.

For my tablet, the French language is automatically translated to English by Google. I hope it's of interest, even if the English translation is an interesting dialect!

Up for test tomorrow morning. Started feeling bad this day 2 weeks ago. I was at a gig on the 4th of March and have since found out most of the band members of the 3 bands playing and road crew have Covid. I just had to buy a T-shirt from road crew. Lady RP had a high fever. I'd aches and pains some shortness of breath. Both fatigued. We been in iso since. Luckily my cousin who is prof of medicine in Queens who specialises in viruses has been giving us advice. Lady RP is feeling a lot better, but I'm 8 years older and asthmatic so I'm bouncing back a bit slower. missed seeing my mum on Mother's Day but needs must. I'm not even certain it is Covid, or if it is I'll still test positive as feeling a bit better, still not 100%.

I'm off to watch the Mandalorian. Stay safe

Sounds like you got CV19 alright.
We'd all be delighted if you could share what treatment you got, particularly in relation to your asthma.
No pressure it's your personal business.
Congrats on your recovery.
You'll be able to go to the pub and celebrate, oh er eh...

My asthma is largely triggered by allergies, so I made sure to take an antihistamine in the morning along with my preventer. I'd take my blue inhaler when needed and then hit up the preventer in the afternoon. I upped my zinc intake, not on the back of anyone's advice. My cousin did say to me the usual paracetamol, keep electrolytes up and rest. Again, no guarantee that it Covid, or just a shitty long cold. We'll find out soon enough

Up to just under 18k tests done. SO maybe another 36-38k to clear the back log. The goal of copying the SK model seems overly ambitious. On a per capita basis, we're towards the top of the table.........so where are they going to get the extra capacity for 15k a day?

What’s the plan, is it to eventually test the entire population or just hold tight for a vaccine?
