Which result?

I sincerely doubt CWC will have half as strong a side as they did the last two years.
Of the side that won two years ago, all of their middle 5 started the year after as well as a few others. That was the winning of the cup for them.
They're a small school (70 in a year, small compared to rock or belvo) and lads like Gilsenan, Coughlan and Quirke only come around so often.

That said, I have no idea what the standard of the other schools is like atm.
I think Clongowes beat 'Rock 36-0 in 'Rock. They have a ton of representative players. Entire Irish under 19 front row, an under 18 prop and Leinster hooker, don't know what they're feeding them. I'll be throwing a few quid on them
Not a sniff of a cup in 10 years and then this happens. Maybe Blackrock aren't the force they were, they should be a lot better given their numbers.
Noel Reid and James Rodriguez were separated at birth.

Blackrock playing silly buggers with Leinster according to the Sunday Times, not allowing Leinster any access to their players. Seems like a policy that's destined to harm their own players more than anything else.

you need to subscribe to read the Sunday Times online, so can't post a link.

gist of the article: Leinster organise training camps for the brightest players in the senior cycles at schools, sort of a pre-screening for the Academy, also useful for identifying players for U-18 and U-19 teams. The players are nominated by schools/clubs and receive advice on diet, training etc from Leinster's development officers. Blackrock think that Leinster will use this as a way to contract players before they leave schools and start dictating when and where they can play for the school. Leinster deny this emphatically. Because of the dispute there were no Blackrock players in the Leinster U-18 squad this season. From the article it would appear Blackrock are the only school who have an issue with Leinster, most other quotes are very positive about the system.

Handy draw for CBC, only CUS in the first round and Kilkenny or a qualifier in the quarter-final before humiliation at the hands of Michael's in the semi-final.

My money is on the winner of a Terenure- Clongowes semi taking on Michael's in the final. Michael's should be shot if they don't make it that far.

Since the humiliation of losing to CUS last season I'm reliably informed* that the entire CBC Senior Team have been kept in a locked cage, being fed only with raw meat and with the guards singing out of key songs to them, and only released for savage training sessions.

I assume the massive interest in this clash will see it moved to the Aviva.
