Self praise...
Not really, I've been out injured for the last four weeks. Believe me, I doubt we would have won if I'd been anywhere near the pitch.

Clontarf V Terenure that is going to be a good match. Clontarf came through the league undefeated but I didn't actually think that they were the best team we played. If that is the Gick closed J4 team they're playing then it will probably be curtains for them.
just back to scrum talk, my club have put in a request this week to leinster branch to penalise uncontested scrums in next years league. not too sure how successful we'll be but if a few more do it, then you never know. another suggestion we made was to have an uncontested league section, we dont mind if it is happening but we dont want to be a part of it. is it true that all teams must contest scrums in the cup? what happens if props mysteriously get injured mid way through a game?

you see this is where our problem originates. Its not that we're picking an extra three backrowers its simply a lack of any trained and injury free props. Ask the scrum purists, im sure they have an answer for you

From the Branch:
As 5 replacements are now allowed in all cup ties the IRB Law pertaining to “suitably trained and experienced players in the front row” will apply whereby teams must nominate in advance on the teamsheet 5 players in their 20-man panel who can play in the front row.
If there are uncontested scrums at any stage during a match the Competitions Committee will decide on the outcome of that particular game.
Learn to scrummage you soft c~*ks!! As a former front rower myself, i believe scrummaging is the heart and sole of rugby. Just because all these internet types want to start "playing rugby" so they can seem middle class does not mean we should dumb down the game for them
