... are embarrassing right now. They've played decently about once in recent memory (against us).

Never mind, I'm sure they'll find a sugar daddy to buy in the best of the Southern hemisphere to fix their abysmal team. That's how it's meant to work isn't it?

They're all f%~ked after Top 14.

The clubs don't give a rats about conditioning for these tours. S&C designed to peak for barrage/semis/final.

No penetration was the problem. France looked as if they didn't want to be there at all.

Of course they didn't want to be there !
They just played 40 games since mid-august 2013, and most of them were exactly in the middle of their off-season summer holidays when FFR and Saint-Andre put'em on a plane for Australia!
While Australia is at their fitness peek in the middle of Super rugby season... What shall we expect ?

40? Is that true?
Did someone on that French Team play 26 League matches + 6 HC + 5 Intl (6N or AI weekends with no LNR) + 2 Knock out games?
Really?

What should you expect? You should expect a bit of pride in the shirt and enough self esteem and esprit de corps to turn up.

France were shameful and the descent of the French team pleases no one here.

We mostly sniggered when the English team was suffering from serial catastrophic mismanagement mind.

And there's the problem.......

When a well paid professional doesn't want to be there they should be fired. There are plenty that would give their right arms to play for their country. The 40 or so games before this one should never ever take precidence over an opportunity to represent your country. Unless of course you are only in it for the money........

Sniggering at the English is different. It's a birthright.

No player in Europe has played 40 games this season. The French starting side generally had about 22-28 appearances for their clubs. A number of these would have been as sub also.

Some of yesterdays team would have international appearances on top of that. I'd say the very most would be about 33 appearances and that would be very much the exception.
