The As could be short of both front row and back row players for the Munster match if the Byrnes, Furlong and Conan are needed for first team cover and Dan Leavy is still out. Tracey must still be injured too I presume.
Rugby is a good occasion for keeping thirty bullies far from the centre of the city.

If those 4 are missing: Dooley at LH, Moran or Dundon at Hooker, the tighthead will probably an AIL player, Royce Burke Flynn maybe or the Brian McGovern, number 8 could be Peadar Timmins or an AIL player.

Might see a lot of Dardis, Kelleher, Adam Byrne, Dooley, Ross Byrne, Moloney and other Irish 20's for Leinster. Demanding month ahead, clubs will likely have most academy players pulled for next week

Not sure if we will see Farrell but would expect to see Daly, I wonder will they risk McGrath and Conan due to senior squad injuries

Dippy should be well above the A team this year.

Hope to see a lot of Leavy and JVDF with Leavy possibly at 6 (think he plays there a lot for UCD).

Conan covers 8 and 6. 6 is covered by Locky and Ben Marshall too with the latter an option at 8. If it were a matter of getting him game-time over worst case scenario kid-glove treatment I'd favour the former.

Who is Moran at 2? Are Dundon and Treacy injured? Would McCarthy the prop now converted to a hooker with StMary's be involved?

Tyrone Moran, Lansdowne & Ireland Club hooker last year, trained with team during the summer along with Mick McGrath. On a development deal for a year I think.
He could just be cover with Strauss, Dundon and Tracy being injured at the start of the season as they have been so far.
No idea on that McCarthy lad, he isn't upto it at prop so...

Ah yeah have him now, I thought he was finished with Leinster last month?
McCarthy is a strange one, brought in as Jack O'Conells replacement on a proffesional contract, is supposedly not up to it as a prop and is now a hooker. Some one made a costly mistake, will be an interesting A team and fascinated to see what they do with McCarthy picking a club player ahead of a contracted player should mean that they reward the club player with some sort of contract

I dunno, was added to website last month along with McGrath, very possible he wont be involved. Tracy was pictured recently training so this might be his game to return. McCarthy is only here on a year long deal and hardly will be that costly, and we have plenty of LH props anyway.

Yeah but would have been nice if a young club lad like McGrath or Moran were given what is sure to be North of €30k plus accomadation instead of McCarthy. Hopefully the young looseheads get more experience and elevate them up the ranks

I can't see Luke McGrath being let play for the As.Also suspect Conan and Crosbie will be held back because of concerns over McLaughlin and Reid's fitness. so team may be more like:-
1. Dooley
2. Moran
3. Furlong
4. Denton
5.Beirne
6.Marshall

8. Timmins

With a few wingers due back to the senior squad (Kirch, LF, DK etc) I'd imagine McGrath will get some A game time too like Fanning did last season.
