What a great all round display from Ireland
O'Mahony immense before he went off delighted to see the huge games from Devon and Mads really delighted
Heaslip came more and more into it when it mattered and hard to feel sorry for Pape getting adig ( went down like a girl) after his v cheap shot on Heaslips back last year

It was Pape to be fair, I'd say mother Teresa would have chinned that cnutmunster#1 wrote:Very stupid from sob, he will be a massive loss, especially if you add him to the other back five forwards likely to be missing.

Fair point. Could well be used in his defence.RoboProp wrote:It was Pape to be fair, I'd say mother Teresa would have chinned that cnutmunster#1 wrote:Very stupid from sob, he will be a massive loss, especially if you add him to the other back five forwards likely to be missing.

Seemed to get him right in the solar plexus and he wasn't expecting the punch either. Anyone know the rules on punching towards the torso or is it treated as a straight closed fist punch irrespective of where?awaaf wrote:Do guys that size really go down from a dig in the guts?Blue Voodoo wrote:Correction Pape went down like a soccer player - sorry ladies

Having received a fair few sly digs in my days, I can tell you it's not always the force that floors you, but the location of and readiness for the punch.awaaf wrote:Do guys that size really go down from a dig in the guts?Blue Voodoo wrote:Correction Pape went down like a soccer player - sorry ladies

Having read some of you're recent shite posts, I'm suprised those digs were all that sly.munster#1 wrote:Having received a fair few sly digs in my days, I can tell you it's not always the force that floors you, but the location of and readiness for the punch.awaaf wrote:Do guys that size really go down from a dig in the guts?Blue Voodoo wrote:Correction Pape went down like a soccer player - sorry ladies

Mirror, Mirror on the Wall who's the greatest player of them all? It is Drico your majesty.

SOB will have to get pointers from Neil Back in the subtleties of the one inch punch
Re: Ireland v France 11/10/2015
Well that is a very direct and unnecessary dig. Would no doubt deserve a red card.Mauler wrote:Having read some of you're recent shite posts, I'm suprised those digs were all that sly.munster#1 wrote:Having received a fair few sly digs in my days, I can tell you it's not always the force that floors you, but the location of and readiness for the punch.awaaf wrote:

The gauling part is if Pape doesnt dive then no one gives a hoot

The most physical match of rugby that I've ever seen. If France had a brain they'd be dangerous. Félicitations all round.

Sadly the acting skills of the soccer players is starting to move in to rugby. Gone is the time where hitting the deck would be seen as a weakness.simonokeeffe wrote:The gauling part is if Pape doesnt dive then no one gives a hoot
It was very unlike sob, the occasion got to him. It happens the best.
If he had kept his hand open he would have been fine.

Re: Ireland v France 11/10/2015
So so proud of that performance...
There was a time when Madigan would not have nailed the first two pens... There was a time when Earls would have retreated into his shell after a mistake like that... There was a time when we would have lost patience in our phase play and given possession back to the opposition with thoughtless kicking... A time when the emotions would have led to a shed-load of penalties.
We have matured so much when it comes to the big games.
France's superior physicality dissipated by the minute and their confidence in defence through to half time just disappeared because we were so confident in recycling and starving them of possession. Did they even get one chance to hit bastareud on a one on one crash ball situation? We increased our intensity as it wore on and they couldn't maintain theirs... Picamoles was rattled beyond belief half through the second half - body language awful.
Next week will be different... Argies won't fold the way France did.

France used to be my second team but they're just so bad I think I'll have to shift elsewhere.
