Not sure I understand the logic to some of those selections.
HOS could surely do with gametime for example?

Why start Deegan if he’s definitely going to be needed for the final?

I understand why we don't want to go full C team, but it would be a huge shame if someone like R Byrne, Deegan or Brian Byrne got an injury that meant they'd miss the final.

Same logic applies to HOS though doesn't it?

The difference is HOS needs gametime though.

That's probably the case. No real point enforcing a "no play" clause in this situation.

Bit of a weird team but it's nice to see Ross as captain, I hope he does well. Pity Molony isn't fit, he could have been an option for the final.

I think we've only got three scrumhalves in the Euro squad so although O'Sullivan needs gametime we probably can't risk him. Deegan and Ross Byrne don't need to be there but at the very least there's someone to replace him.

Actually it's not a total dead rubber with the results in Belfast and Limerick determining whether Leinster and Ulster will be together in Conference A or B next year. 2 home wins will see them remain in B, otherwise they will be together in A.

Match Preview

Leinster did the job last week much easier than expected against Toulouse, but it will be a lot tougher against Saracens in Newcastle in two weeks time.

But before that there's a final regular season fixture for Leinster to fulfill and then it's all serious matches from here on in. Perhaps more surprising is that there is nothing on the line either for Ulster. They secured second place in the conference and a home play-off match with a superb 29-7 win away to Edinburgh last time out.

Dan Sheehan trains with seniors along with rest of academy, so yes.

Suspect he is playing for Trinity this weekend, has been a key player for them all season.

Suppose BB needs a run out, expect he will be pulled early enough.
