Hard to know from the sidelines where the justice is between Beef Farmers, Producers and Supermarkets but instinct and the obscene wealth of people like Goodman as evidened in his ownership of Private Hospitals and Carparks suggests that the Beef Companies take too big a share of the cake. I'm supporting the farmers, who historically have "cried Wolf" too often but may now have right on their side.

World Athletics Championships in an empty stadium in Doha.

Disgraceful. And putting athletes at risk too by making them compete in extreme conditions.

Why do Irish swimming pools insist on swim hats? Is there something unique about pools in Ireland that does not affect the rest of the globe?

Does this phenomenon extend to NI? Are swimmers in Dundalk forcibly capped in latex while those in Newry allowed to swim without regulation headgear?
Italy, France, Spain and China all have rules about swimming caps in public pools.
Even so, its a minority of nation states that choose to inflict swim cap tyranny upon the electorate (except China where it is inflicted upon the proletariat). It's an outrage!
I am pleased to report a breakthrough in the battle against compulsory swim caps. It appears Center Parcs in Longford is happy to buck the Irish trend (and it is just a trend) and does not require swim caps in their main pool. This is a huge step forward for the country and easily on a par with Virgin mega store on the Quays openly selling condoms in the 80's. My next campaign will be to try and educate drivers on the N7 about how to use the centre lane correctly.
The odds are good but the goods are odd.

You betcha. The forgotten word.

I think it started with the septics pronouncing it that way and "then" writing it that way too.

Now everyone wants a piece. Both written and spoken.

I predict we will next say kinnect. It's not just for eggs boxes.

I'd still prefer connect than kinnect.

Oxford University Student Union has banned clapping, people asked to use Jazz hands instead. Aparently it upsets some people.
Is there no end to the utter nonsense of this era.

I can understand why. You don't want people suffering the clap these days, do you?
