Ahern reminds me of Folau with those restart catches.

The maul and the scrum have had issues. Stewart and Clarkson have been brilliant in open play though. They seem to combine well together and both run good lines and their tackle technique is excellent.

Looks like I jinxed McCarthy and Stewart so

Crowley is a nice footballer but he does have a habit of firing passes too hard at runners who are close to him.

Hernan has been much better this week. I did see him miss one tackle quite badly but aside from that he's been good, runs really good lines.

The way Smith collected that ball in the air and managed to stay in field and spin forward was incredible. From what I've seen of him he's a brilliant finisher and hasn't even got the chance to do that yet but still stands out. I'd like to see more defensively though tbh, think he makes a lot of mistakes. He clearly has the ability though so it's just a case of ironing out the creases and adding consistency.
Joe McCarthy started for Blackrock last year but wasn’t involved in the 2018 team, some people here really need to start watching schools rugby
All the games will be televised on Premier Sports from Monday to Thursday at 3pm. If you can’t watch the games I’d advise you record them as a lot of future Ireland u20s/ future professionals will be playing next week

Finlay is some speaker for such a young guy, played very well again too.

The maul needs a serious amount of work and I'd imagine we'll be facing tougher packs from here on in.

Didn't like the subs only getting a few seconds at the end.

First half was great, second terrible to watch but the conditions were terrible and started to turn bad just before half time. The second have became very stop start and scrappy which suited the welsh.

5 tries in tough conditions isn't bad and theres still plenty of areas they can improve.

There was some great play in the first half. Smith has great pace but it's his ability to step that is really special. Steward looked excellent for the second game in a row. I was actually more impressed by Crowley this week. He was excellent especially in the first half. Kelly is another who had a very good game. Cant fault any player although I though McCarthy was a bit over enthusiastic at times though he's an excellent prospect.

The Ireland U20 games are the only ones not showing up on Rugbylist. Pity.

Ah, a Steven Crowder fan. That tracks.
Ruddock's tackle stats consistently too low for me to be taken seriously as a Six Nations blindside..... Ruddock's defensive stats don't stack up. - All Blacks Nil, Jan 15th, 2014

Noel McNamara will know clearly just how much this Irish team can improve their overall game by getting the maul, attack and defence, properly organised. Mauling, so long as you have the fundamental physiques which we do, is about organisation and cohesion. Thus far in both games we haven't had enough guys doing the same thing at the same time.

We do need to get the maul right as we have now lost control of two games in a row because of our poor maul technique.

Excellent win but lots of hard work needed in the front five for three tough games ahead as Italy are proving they are a decent outfit.

I don't understand why the maul defence is so bad. We have a big pack and when you look at how brilliant the maul we scored off was then you can see that they're capable of being organised etc.

I can't understand why they flog Thomas Clarkson so much. He played every game last year and this to almost 80 mins in each game. Whatever about him needing to be rested / protected, the other issue is if he gets injured there is no one else with ANY experience.
Never argue with an idiot. Someone looking on may not be able tell the difference
