Benetton v. Leinster, Sat 10 Oct, 1715hrs
Personally I’m hoping to see Keenan retained at fullback and Rhys at 6. Ryan & Baird from the start with Fardy to come on at lock or flanker, and Byrne at 10 to start.
Im guessing Porter will miss out so that should mean Bent & Parker at TH.

I'd go for something like:
Healy, Kelleher, Bent, Ryan, Baird, Ruddock, Connors, Doris, JGP, Byrne, Lowe, Henshaw, JOB, Larmour, Keenan
Byrne, Tracy, Parker, Fardy, VDF, McGrath, H Byrne, ROL

Will any of the Irish squad players be allowed to travel for this? I wonder.
If we don't have Lowe, Larmour and Keenan, I'm not sure what kind of backline we can field.

They're all training today, so assume those that are fit will be available.curates_egg wrote: ↑October 6th, 2020, 11:14 am Will any of the Irish squad players be allowed to travel for this? I wonder.

It's already young. But, indeed, at some point over the next few weeks, it will be very young.mildlyinterested wrote: ↑October 6th, 2020, 11:30 amnot sure what that has to do with it.. leinster have other backs if those aren't available, they are just younger again.curates_egg wrote: ↑October 6th, 2020, 11:18 am Not long towards the pensions for Larmour and Keenan alright!

Our biggest problem could be, being raided for a few genuine medical jokers for our southern brethren.

Last game before we lose the internationals. We'll rest the ones who need rest and play the ones who need to play.
We won't have much scope to lose players after this weekend. We've already signed an emergency tighthead, we will need an 8 assuming Doris and Conan are in camp. Ross Byrne being selected would leave us light but manageable and we will be right in the back 3.

I could upset a few sensitive souls by musing that with this jersey we are beginning to see the introduction of elements of the St Michael’s primary colour to the kit, as is appropriate. But I wouldn’t want to court further opprobrium.

Benty the only player in the starting XV that won't be involved in the Irish squad!
