Worth noting that Harry Byrne, Tracy and Lowe are only down to train with the squad next week and not in the 35-man panel to play the last two 6N games.

Have we enough players left to field a team

Anyone like to take a stab at a possible Leinster match day 23 without the aforementioned players?

Yeah probably but we're just looking at the worst case scenario as we don't really know who might come back.

Incidentally, unless there is some long term plan for Parker I'd like to see TC get that game time. He was name checked with great vigor by the coaching team post the lockdown but we haven't really had much of a look.

Yeah I’d say TC will be ahead of Parker who’s really just injury cover it seems.

If we’re looking at worst case then you could have Tracy not being release too. With DS out step mr. McKee

It’s a chance for Parker to reestablish himself in Ireland. Mike Ross was 26 going to Quins.

He should get a shot rather than being in purgatory for being a joker.

I'm really interested to see how Parker goes.

If he can become a Michael Bent Mk2 he could be hugely valuable. (Which reminds me, we need an OLSC tee for Benty).

Doesn't look the fittest guy, which I'm sure we'll improve over time.

But if he can scrum well and get around the park he'll be a valuable asset at almost 19st.

Anything positive from Parker will be great, but he will be doing very well to come anywhere close to Bent during his time here.

Wow, we are much lighter than I had realised across every position except scrum half & blindside (3 really good options, but needed in other positions). Without the Ireland training squad lads we have 7 front rows when 6 are needed for a 23, and 3 of those are academy. We should get Tracy back but Faz won’t be able to send props back, we have to muddle through.

Larmours injury could have a knock on effect on Keenan’s availability for us (but I’d be happy for him). Deegan is a big big loss. He was a solid bet for a run of dominant performances. Odds of Faz keeping both Conan and Doris aren’t too high but it’s feasible.

Toner makes a big difference.

We have some tricky games in this period too — Glasgow (a), Edinburgh (h) and Scarlets (a) in particular, but Zebre the only game that you’d be shocked if we lost in that bunch.

We’ll be sending some pretty inexperienced front rows out for those games at least and are likely to be light in the back row, somewhat ironically given the actual wealth in depth there.

Big test of the squad once again, Deegan injury in particular is a rough one on both player and team.

We could easily end up with a starting front 5 of:

Bent, Cronin, Dooley, Toner, Fardy

which would be pretty experienced.

It's the bench options that are a significant step down in experience.

Would be interesting to see Milne get a start with a good solid pack around him and maybe spring Dooley/Tracy (assuming he's avail) off the bench.

The likes of Rhys, Molony, McGrath, DK (who is seemingly back training), Lowe and even ROL/Kelleher will provide a good nucleus of experience elsewhere too.

Such a shame that COB and A Byrne are injured at the minute.
